After four rounds of voting, the municipal elections concluded on Saturday with the elections in the governorates of South Lebanon and Nabatieh. At the end of this voting day, the turnout was 37 percent, compared to 48 percent in the 2016 municipal elections, according to the Interior Ministry's figures.Late in the evening, preliminary results revealed trends, particularly in Shiite-majority villages. The Amal-Hezbollah alliance maintains its dominance there, but the high abstention raises questions.
