LONDON — On June 2, L’Orient Today hosted "Lebanon on the Edge" at the Frontline Club in London, convening leading voices from journalism and academia for a discussion on Lebanon’s future and the regional forces influencing it.
Moderated by L’Orient Today Head Iva Kovic-Chahine, the conversation featured Gilbert Achcar, professor of Development Studies and International Relations at SOAS University of London; Andrew Arsan, professor of Arab and Global History at the University of Cambridge; and veteran journalist Liz Sly, former Middle East correspondent for The Washington Post.
The discussion explored how Lebanon is being reshaped politically, socially, and regionally, against the backdrop of the ongoing conflict plaguing the Middle East today.
