Prime Minister, Nawaf Salam, will visit the United Arab Emirates on Monday to participate in the Arab Media Summit, scheduled in Dubai from May 26 to 28, L'Orient Today learned on Friday.

During his visit, which will extend until Wednesday, the head of government is expected to meet with the Emirati President, Mohammad bin Zayed al Nahyan, as well as the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid. A meeting with members of the Lebanese diaspora residing in the UAE is also on the government's leader's agenda.

Organized by the Dubai Press Club from May 26 to 28, the Arab Media Summit will bring together senior government officials, media leaders, influential intellectuals, as well as Arab and international content creators.

This visit is part of a diplomatic re-engagement with the Gulf monarchies, aiming to restore ties strained by regional tensions and the influence of the pro-Iranian Hezbollah. Since taking office, President Joseph Aoun embarked on a tour of the region, notably marked by a stop in Abu Dhabi in late April, which resulted in the lifting of a travel ban for Emirati nationals to Lebanon, in effect since August 2023.
