This photo is one of the most unusual in my collection: here is a motorcycle with a sidecar cab. This machine is so rare that I haven't found a similar one, neither online nor in my hundred years of Lebanese archives. An all the more exceptional scene as it was taken by a street photographer in Lebanon, as indicated by the type of print, the license plate, and the environment.It took some daring, in the mid-1920s, to mount such a machine, without any protection and on such treacherous roads. The man, almost beardless, is surprisingly young, and this perhaps explains it. Squinting eyes in the pale light of a sunless day, white shirt under a dark suit, the tie encasing a collar typical of those years, he is probably not the owner of the beast.
