The head of the Lebanese Public Prosecution, Jamal Hajjar, stated on Friday to the Emirati news site Al Ain that the Lebanese judiciary was "ready to investigate" the thwarted attack case in Jordan 10 days ago, in which individuals trained in Lebanon were reportedly involved.

"We are awaiting security information from the Jordanian services to immediately commence a thorough investigation of the matter," said Judge Hajjar. He also said that the judiciary was ready to collaborate with Jordan.

On April 15, Jordan announced the arrest of 16 individuals linked to the Muslim Brotherhood, trained and financed in Lebanon. They are accused of planning attacks within the kingdom using rockets and drones. Authorities said that at least one rocket was ready to be launched, as part of an operation monitored by security forces since 2021.

Following this announcement, Lebaense authorities arrested several Palestinians and Lebanese affiliated with the Palestinian movement Hamas, suspected of firing missiles in March from southern Lebanon toward Israel.
