BEIRUT – Almost two years after the end of disgraced former governor Riad Salameh’s term, the Lebanese Cabinet appointed wealth manager Karim Souhaid as the Banque Du Liban (BDL)’s new head on Thursday. Souhaid is set to replace Muslim Shiite vice-governor Wassim Mansouri, who in Aug. 2023 took the helm of the institution on an interim basis (a position traditionally reserved for a Christian Maronite).
