The Emirati company NymCard, founded and led by Lebanese Omar Onsi, announced that it raised $33 million in series B investment, i.e. the third round of equity financing for new companies. QED Investors fund led this investment and Lunate, Dubai Future District Fund, Mashreq Bank, Knollwood, Reciprocal, FJLabs, Endeavor, and Shorooq and Oraseya Capital participated in the financing. This brings the total funds raised by NymCard since its founding in 2017 to $73 million.This new sum will enable the company "to accelerate its expansion in the MENA region and enhance its infrastructure for banks, fintech [financial technology companies], telecom providers and businesses," it announced in a statement.
