The Israeli army stated on Sunday that the world is "better" today, as Lebanon holds the funeral of former Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, who was killed in an Israeli airstrike near Beirut in late September.

"Today is Nasrallah’s funeral. Today, the world is a better place," the army wrote in a message on its X account.

Israel has been fighting Hezbollah — a group founded in 1982 with Iranian support during Israel’s invasion of Lebanon — and has remained in a state of ongoing conflict with the organization ever since.
