During a two-day visit to Qatar, Antoine Habib, CEO of Banque de l'Habitat (the Housing Bank), secured a commitment on Feb. 19 from the Qatari government for a $100 million loan to support the reconstruction of homes damaged by Israeli strikes in Lebanon. The trip marked Habib's second visit to Qatar since his reappointment as head of the bank on Feb. 12 for a three-year term.The loan agreement followed a meeting between Habib and Sultan al-Ossairy, director of the international relations department at Qatar’s Foreign Affairs Ministry.
