The Russian delegation that visited Damascus, for its first visit since the recent fall of the Kremlin ally Bashar al-Assad, expressed its support for Syria's "territorial integrity and sovereignty," Russian diplomacy said Wednesday.
The Russian Foreign Ministry noted, in a statement, that the relations between the two countries were going through a "crucial stage," but assured that Moscow had "reaffirmed its unwavering support for Syria's unity, territorial integrity, and sovereignty."
