A video posted on Jan. 14 by the news platform Megaphone has sparked a defamation complaint from Fouad Makhzoumi, a Beirut MP, businessman and former candidate for prime minister. Jean Kassir, the platform’s co-founder and director, has been summoned to appear before the Cybercrime Bureau on Thursday at 10 a.m.The two-minute video, titled "How Nawaf Salam became Prime Minister," highlights Makhzoumi’s history and alleged reputation.
