Army reinforcements in Hosh al-Sayed Ali after clashes at the border

The Lebanese army sent reinforcements on Tuesday to the border village of Hosh al-Sayed Ali (Hermel), following clashes between residents of this town and armed individuals from the neighboring Syrian villages of Masrieh and Nahrieh, according to L'Orient Today's correspondent in the Bekaa.

The incident occurred on Monday evening between gangs stealing livestock in the village of Hosh al-Sayed Ali and residents who confronted them, aided by regional clans, according to some accounts. This incident did not involve militants from Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham.

The skirmishes, which lasted for an hour during which light and medium weapons as well as rockets were used, resulted in two injuries on the Syrian side.
