Egyptian activist and poet Abdel Rahman Yusuf al-Qaradawi was extradited to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Wednesday, less than 24 hours after the outgoing Lebanese government made its decision during the Council of Ministers meeting on Tuesday. His lawyer, Mohammad Sablouh, confirmed Qaradawi's deportation.Qaradawi, son of a prominent Egyptian sheikh and scholar who was influential to the intellectual leadership of the Muslim Brotherhood, was arrested on Dec. 28 at the Masnaa border crossing Syria and Lebanon.
