A leadership with few words

Will we have a president today? Yesterday, it seems that tens of thousands of posters of General Joseph Aoun were printed, and many municipalities prepared fireworks. The Hezbollah-backed candidate, Sleiman Frangieh, withdrew in Aoun’s favor. More and more parliamentary blocs expressed their intention to vote for the general. So, presumably, if not reasonably, we dare to answer yes to the question of whether our unfortunate republic will now have a president after a two-year vacancy, decades of unbearable Assadist pressure and whims and at least six years of cascading collapse.
