BEIRUT — The Saudi envoy to Lebanon, Prince Yazid bin Farhan, arrived at the Rafik Hariri International Airport in Beirut before noon on Wednesday, according to the state-run National News Agency.
This marks his second visit in five days, ahead of the presidential election session scheduled on Thursday.
Saudi Arabia is part of the quintet, a group of five nations working to resolve Lebanon's presidential vacuum. Lebanon has been without a president since October 2022 when former president Michel Aoun's term ended.
Bin Farhan's visit is taking place as the French envoy in Lebanon Jean-Yves Le Drian has also been touring officials in Beirut since this morning, right after the departure of the U.S. emissary Amos Hochstein. The latter was in Lebanon on Monday and Tuesday.
