Has the former head of the Progressive Socialist Party (PSP) departed from this rule by making official his support for Lebanese Army Chief Joseph Aoun’s candidacy for the presidency? The question arises because, at a time when Amal and Hezbollah still seem reluctant about this option, all eyes are focused on the Christian parties that have a majority of seats in Parliament, namely the Lebanese Forces (LF), and especially the Free Patriotic Movement (FPM) which despises the army chief.
