Hochstein in Beirut, despite Netanyahu's hardline stance

Everyone has their eyes fixed on Amos Hochstein. The visit of the American envoy to Beirut and Tel Aviv is seen as the (only) indicator of whether a cease-fire agreement between Israel and Hezbollah might be reached. Mr. Hochstein arrived Tuesday morning in the Lebanese capital, despite contradictory reports on the matter circulating on Monday, particularly in the Israeli press. Our newspaper learned on Monday evening that discussions between Beirut and Washington regarding the American cease-fire proposal had not been halted, paving the way for this visit.
