Israel passed a law on Monday banning the U.N. Palestinian refugee agency UNRWA from operating in the country, legislation that could impact its work in war-torn Gaza.On Jan. 26, several countries announced they would suspend funding for UNRWA, a move projected to jeopardize the services it provides in Gaza. This decision followed earlier Israeli allegations that some UNRWA staff members participated in Hamas' attack on Oct. 7, 2023.
