The Israeli military announced on Saturday that its ''defensive and offensive capabilities'' were ''fully mobilized'' as it launched strikes on Iran, in retaliation for an Oct. 1 attack by the Islamic Republic on Israeli territory.
''The Iranian regime and its allies in the region have continued to attack Israel since Oct. 7, 2023, across seven fronts, including strikes from Iranian soil. Israel has the right and duty to respond. Our defensive and offensive capabilities are fully mobilized,'' the military said in a statement.
