Hezbollah claimed responsibility for two attacks this evening. The first, at 10:30 p.m., targeted a Israeli soldiers stationed near the northern Israeli village of Manara, located opposite the Lebanese village of Houla, in Marjayoun district. The second attack, carried out at 11 p.m., targeted Kiryat Shmona, in northern Israel. Both operations were carried out using rockets.

The Israeli army is said to have completed its preparations for an attack on Iran and "has raised the level of vigilance in air defense systems," according to a report from Israel's Channel 12.


Iran had presented its Oct. 1 attack - to which Israel has announced its retaliation - as a response to the assassination of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in an Israeli strike on Beirut in late-September and to the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in an explosion in Teheran, widely attributed to Israel.

After Hezbollah announced that it had targeted two Israeli "Hermes 450" drones over Lebanese airspace, Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee acknowledged on X that a drone "crashed after being targeted in southern Lebanon." He assured that there were no concerns about "a data leak" from the device, emphasizing that "the incident is under investigation."

The second drone had been "forced to return" to Israeli territory, according to Hezbollah.

The U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Türk, said he was "appalled" by a deadly Israeli strike nearly a south Beirut hospital Monday, demanding a "prompt and thorough investigation".

The Israeli strike last night on buildings in the Jnah neighborhood, close to the Rafic Hariri Government Hospital in Beirut, resulted in 18 deaths, including four children, and 60 injuries, according to a new toll published by the Ministry of Health.

During the night from Monday to Tuesday, while the Arabic-speaking spokesperson was issuing multiple evacuation calls in anticipation of strikes on various locations in the southern suburbs of Beirut and Hadath, this violent attack occurred without warning. The site of the strike was just a few dozen meters from the entrance of Rafic Hariri Hospital, the largest public hospital in the country, and several buildings were completely destroyed.

Israeli police announced the arrest of seven Palestinians on charges of espionage for Iran and attempted assassinations, according to a statement reported by AFP.

An update on the situation in southern Lebanon over the past hour:

An Israeli raid targeted the locality of Reshknanay (district of Sour) around 11:30 a.m. The strike destroyed three homes and reportedly caused casualties, according to our correspondent.


Shortly after, an Israeli drone launched incendiary rockets at olive groves in the locality of Jdeidet Marjayoun, in the same district. Lebanese civil defense teams were dispatched to the scene to extinguish the fires.


Additionally, Israeli aircraft targeted a neighborhood in the city of Nabatieh, Hay Ksar Zaatar.

Israeli planes "struck a Hezbollah target near Rafik Hariri Hospital in Beirut on Monday evening, but did not target the hospital, which was not hit by the strike," the Israeli army said, as quoted by Haaretz.


The Lebanese Ministry of Health, on the other hand, reported significant damage to the hospital from the strike, which killed 13 people and injured 57 others, according to the latest figures.

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who is in Israel, is scheduled to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu around midday. However, with the U.S. presidential election two weeks away, the White House stressed it could not confirm if "negotiations will resume" for a cease-fire in Gaza, according to AFP.


Blinken also aims to dissuade Israel, which is preparing to respond to Iran’s Oct. 1 missile attack, from "any action that could further escalate the region," said a U.S. official accompanying him.


After Israel, Blinken is set to travel to Jordan on Wednesday to discuss humanitarian aid for Gaza, the accompanying official added.

"To journalists taking part in the media tour at Sahel Hospital in Haret Hreik, head to the locations we specified, don’t waste your time with the staged scenes within the medical teams," Israeli army spokesman Avichay Adraee posted on X, as Sahel Hospital opened its doors to the media this morning. Adraee listed a street, a building, and an address, advising journalists to visit those locations.


The day before, Adraee had claimed that Hezbollah stores "hundreds of millions of dollars in cash and gold under Sahel Hospital in Haret Hreik to fund its terrorist activities" unsubstantially. Israeli military spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari later stated that the army "would not bomb the hospital."

Iran’s neighbors will not allow their "land or airspace" to be used for attacks, said Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, as Israel considers retaliating for Iran’s Oct. 1 missile attack on Israeli soil, AFP reported.


"All our neighbors assured us they will not allow their land or airspace to be used against the Islamic Republic of Iran," Araghchi said during a press conference in Kuwait.


This visit comes as Israel, engaged in conflicts with Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon, both backed by Iran, has repeatedly threatened to retaliate against its arch-enemy Iran.

Israeli army spokesman Avichay Adraee issued a statement on X urging residents of Hosh, a town on the outskirts of Sour in southern Lebanon, to evacuate immediately and move at least one kilometer outside the village.


He said the Israeli army was preparing to intervene in the village. "Anyone near Hezbollah members, their facilities, or their weapons is putting their life in danger," he added.

Israeli strikes last night on Jnah, in the southern suburbs of Beirut, resulted in 13 casualties, all members of the Mokdad and Bazzi families, according to a preliminary report from our correspondent.


The victims were identified as Jawad Ali Mokdad, Khairallah Wehbe Mokdad, Hussein Wehbe Mokdad, Ala’ Ali Mokdad, Fatima Hussein Mokdad, Zeinab Hussein Mokdad, Sila Hassan Mokdad, Celine Hassan Mokdad, Ali Hassan Mokdad, Mona Hassan Mokdad, Hassan Habib Bazzi, Hussein Habib Bazzi, and Rami Habib Bazzi.


Rescue operations continue as bodies are being searched for in the rubble.

⚡ The Israeli army claims it struck "Hezbollah weapons storage facilities, command centers, and other terrorist targets in Beirut overnight," including some "located underground with aerial and naval equipment used by Hezbollah for carrying out terrorist attacks against Israel," according to its statement on its X account.


Among the targets was "a central base of Hezbollah's Naval Unit, where the party stored military boats (small vessels), a training center, and an area for conducting experiments," the statement continued. These vessels "were intended for attacks against Israeli Navy ships and naval and strategic targets in Israeli territorial waters," the Israeli army added.


Last night, the Israeli army struck Beirut's southern suburbs repeatedly, killing and injuring dozens of citizens.

Hezbollah released a new series of statements:

The party claims to have attacked at 6:15 a.m. this morning on an Israeli Merkava tank at Tallet al-Akbeh in Robb Thalathin, a village in Marjayoun district, using a guided missile that "set the tank on fire and caused casualties among those operating it."


The party also states that last night at 8:22 p.m., its fighters clashed with Israeli soldiers "as an enemy force attempted to infiltrate the area around Taybeh" (Marjayoun district). "The enemy then advanced armored troops to support its forces, but the resistance confronted them, forced them to retreat, and struck the enemy forces with missiles during their withdrawal," the statement said.


At 8:30 a.m., the party claims to have struck Israeli troops in Misgav Am, an Israeli town opposite Kfar Kila (Marjayoun district).


The party claims to have launched an attack at 9:30 a.m. on a Merkava tank "attempting to advance between Robb Thalathin and Taybeh," hitting it and causing casualties among the soldiers.


At 10 a.m., Hezbollah targeted enemy soldiers near Odaisseh (Marjayoun) with missiles.

After 9 p.m., Israeli aircraft bombed the towns of Adloun and Ansarieh (Saida district), as well as Tebnine (Bint Jbeil). Artillery shelled Hanine (Bint Jbeil) and Shahour (Sour).


Around 11 p.m., three airstrikes targeted the town of Safad al-Batikh (Bint Jbeil), and one strike on Sheaitieh (Sour) reportedly caused casualties.


Around 3 a.m., artillery shelled the towns of Khiam, Kfar Kila, and Odaisseh (Marjayoun), and aircraft targeted the town of Arab Salim (Nabatieh).
