Lebanese Minister of Energy and Water Walid Fayad paid tribute in a statement to three employees of the South Lebanon Water Authority who were killed in Israeli strikes on Nabatieh and Sour. The victims are Ali Sobhi Mansour and Hussein Raslane, both from Taybeh in the Marjayoun district, and Karim Darwiche, who was born in Nabatieh.
The minister "strongly condemned the genocidal crimes targeting innocent civilians and workers serving society" and called on the international community "to take immediate action and pressure Israel to stop killing innocents through its repeated attacks on civilians." He emphasized that these "barbaric acts" constitute a blatant violation of international law and human rights. Fayad also "called on the United Nations to side with truth and humanity and to adopt a firm stance, as well as effective measures to end this aggression and hold the Israeli enemy accountable for its crimes."
