Incessant, violent Israeli strikes on Beirut's southern suburbs since 11 p.m.: Day 365 of the war

Two new Israeli strikes occurred in the southern suburbs of Beirut, one of which appears to have hit Haret Hreik, and another targeted Choueifat.

The owner of Kadouha Oxygen Company, Khaled Kadouha, stated to al-Jadeed that "there is no truth to the rumors circulating about the targeting of the company by Israeli airstrikes."

On social media, many people had speculated that the intensity of the strikes was due to the presence of oxygen bottles in a medical center.

More than 20 airstrikes targeted the southern suburbs of Beirut, with local media describing the night as the most "violent" so far.

⚡ Two new strikes have targeted the southern suburbs of Beirut. They were heard in the capital and its surrounding areas.

In the Sabra neighborhood, near the southern suburbs of Beirut, dozens of people were seen in the streets, some carrying bags, fleeing on foot or by motorcycle, as explosions from Israeli strikes echoed in the background, according to AFP.

The president of the Ghobeiry municipality stated that the municipal building was not "directly" "targeted," but believes it was "probably damaged due to the targeting of a nearby oxygen bottle sales facility," al-Jadeed reports.

Hezbollah announced in a statement that at 12:45 p.m., it fired a barrage of rockets at an Israeli patrol attempting to evacuate dead and wounded personnel in the Israeli border village of Menara (facing Houla).

According to MTV, Hezbollah announced that it had repelled an Israeli incursion attempt near Blida, in the Marjeyoun district of South Lebanon. AFP mentioned an Israeli infiltration "attempt" repelled by the Shiite party at the border, with no further details at the moment.

The latest Israeli strike targeted Ghobeiry in the southern suburbs of Beirut, according to al-Jadeed.

Hezbollah claimed responsibility for two new attacks, carried out at 00:30 and 00:35, against a "group of Israeli army troops in Menara, opposite Houla (Marjayoun). These strikes were carried out with "salvos of missiles."

Earlier, Haaretz had reported dozens of missiles fired at positions in northern Israel.

⚡ Two new loud explosions were heard. Local media show images of new strikes. The Israeli army claims to have struck Hezbollah targets on the outskirts of Beirut.

The Israeli army has issued a new call to evacuate the neighborhoods of Bourj al-Brajneh, Haret Hreik, and Lailaki in the southern suburbs of Beirut. 

As usual, it called on local residents to stay away from "Hezbollah infrastructure and buildings", which will be bombed "in the near future."

Worthy to note, the building asked to evacuate in Lailaki, is located right next to al-Aytam gas station, and near Beirut's international airport. 

⚡Two new loud explosions caused by Israeli strikes in the southern suburbs of Beirut. Local TV Channel, MTV, reported that the Choueifat area has been hit again.

⚡ A new Israeli strike hit Beirut's southern suburbs following a dozen of bombardments across the area, some of which were violent and resulted in massive explosions and fires.

It's still unclear what area the last strike targeted. 

After the Israeli strike on Ghobeiri, the fire continued to rage in the area, and explosions were heard, sending shrapnel flying through the area.

The Israeli army stated that around 30 missiles were launched from Lebanon in recent barrage, reported Haaretz. 

Hezbollah announced that it launched exploding drones at 1 p.m. on Saturday, on the "Simson base," an army logistics center located around 30 kilometers from the Blue Line, west of Lake Tiberias. 

Rocket sirens sounded in northern Israel twice, and drone sirens sounded in the occupied Golan Heights, reported Haaretz. 

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken had separate conversations with French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot and Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed Al Thani on Saturday to discuss the "evolving situation in the Middle East and the importance of coordinating efforts on a diplomatic resolution that would allow citizens of Israel and Lebanon to return to their homes."

 Blinken and the Qatari PM also discussed the "importance of implementing U.N. Security Council Resolution 1701 in Lebanon," and discussed cease-fire efforts in Gaza.

⚡ Another violent Israeli strike targeted the Ghobeiri neighborhood, in Beirut's southern suburbs. No evacuation notice was given to this area.

While the Israeli army was violently bombarding Beirut's southern suburbs, it carried out multiple strikes on Khiam.

Israeli artillery fire targeted Kfar Kila and the outskirts of Burj al-Molouk, in the Marjayoun district, reported local news channel al-Jadeed. 

- Hezbollah announced that it launched missiles at a group of Israeli soldiers in Menara site, opposite to Lebanese Houla (Marjayoun), at around 11:30 p.m, causing casualties within their ranks. 

- The party also issued a statement — citing a "field officer" within its forces — summarizing the various operations conducted throughout the day, particularly to prevent the Israeli army's infiltration attempts along the Lebanese southern border. The officer estimated that the operations killed "more than 25 Israeli officers and soldiers,"  wounded 130 and destroyed a Merkava tank with a guided missile.

In recent days, the Israeli army has announced the death of around 10 soldiers on the border with Lebanon.

While the Israeli army was heavily bombarding Beirut's southern suburb, Hezbollah announced that it had targeted and "directly hit" soldiers on the move at the Israeli site of Bayad Blida, opposite the Lebanese town of Blida (Marjayoun)

The Israeli army carried out a dozen strikes on Beirut's southern suburbs in less than an hour. The strikes targeted areas included in the evacuation notice, while some were not. Explosions were violent and heard throughout Beirut.

The explosion caused by the Israeli strike that targeted a building near Beirut international airport tonight.

Meanwhile, air traffic continues at Beirut international airport, according to the National News Agency.

A Middle East Airline plane, the Lebanese national airline, landed as a series of Israeli strikes incessantly bombed several neighborhoods in and around Beirut's southern suburbs, where the airport is located. 

⚡ Two new detonations, for as many Israeli strikes, were heard in Beirut within seconds of each other.

The neighborhoods of Burj al-Brajneh and Haret Hreik were targeted, according to local media. Local media reported that some of the strikes may have been carried out by warships. According to al-Mayadeen, a building near Beirut international airport road was targeted. The building is reportedly close to the al-Saha Restaurant and al-Aytam gas station. 

🔴The Israeli army carried out a dozen strikes on Beirut's southern suburbs in less than an hour.

⚡ Two new explosions were heard in and around Beirut. According to Hezbollah's al-Manar channel, one targeted the Sfeir area near Hadath was targeted — the Israeli army issued no warning for this area.

Another explosion followed just a few seconds later, the channel reported this one seems to be in Burj al-Barajneh. 

According to local media, the two most powerful strikes in the latest series by the Israeli army targeted Burj al-Brajneh, in Beirut's southern suburbs.

⚡ Third explosion was heard in and around Beirut. Local media channel, al-Jadeed, reported a very powerful strike in the vicinity of Choueifat.

⚡ A second explosion was heard in and around Beirut.

While no information is yet available on the area targeted in the first strike, the second strike appears to have targeted Choueifat. 

In a provisional toll of the Israeli strike on Jiyyeh (Chouf), the Center for Emergency Public Health Operations of the Lebanese Health Ministry announced that at least two people were killed and 18 others wounded.

⚡ Explosions were heard in and around Beirut.

The Israeli air force claimed that it attacked a Hamas compound located in a U.N. agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) building in Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, reported Haaretz.

🔴 The Israeli army issued another evacuation order ten minutes after the first, addressed to residents of the Haret Hreik in Beirut's southern suburbs and Choueifate and Amroussieh (near Choueifate), south of Beirut.

In a post on X, the Israeli army's Arabic-speaking spokesman Avichay Adraee specified that two buildings were targeted: one near the Heliopolis school and the national college in Choueifate, the other near the Mojtaba Mosque.

Australia started evacuating its nationals from Lebanon through Cyprus today, in the first large-scale operation to get citizens out of the country, reported Reuters. 

Some 229 people arrived in Cyprus from Beirut, on a commercial airline chartered by Australia. A second flight is scheduled later in the day.

More evacuation flights could be expected based on demand, Australian and Cypriot officials said.

At Cyprus's Larnaca airport, civilians of all ages transferred from the aircraft into a terminal and then escorted onto waiting coaches. "They are exhausted, exceptionally happy to be here but heartbroken because they left family behind," said Fiona McKergow, the Australian High Commissioner [Ambassador] to Cyprus.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu today vowed that his country would respond to Iran's attack following the barrage of missiles fired by Tehran on Tuesday.

"Israel has the duty and the right to defend itself and to respond to these attacks and that is what we will do," said Netanyahu in a televised broadcast.

🔴 The Israeli army issued an evacuation order to the residents of Burj al-Brajneh, in Beirut's southern suburbs, urging them to evacuate three buildings immediately.

In a post on X, the Israeli army's Arabic-speaking spokesman Avichay Adraee specified the three buildings on maps: one is located near a gas station, the other near the "Hadi Institute" and the last near the "al-Sanabel" school.

Clearing and rescue operations are ongoing in the rubble of the residential building hit in Jiyyeh, on the Chouf coast, reported our correspondent.

Reports of Israeli strikes on hospitals in Lebanon are "worrying," according to the British government quoted by AFP.

The Israeli army said its forces were on high alert ahead of the anniversary of the Hamas attack on Israel on Oct. 7, claiming that fighters were seeking to carry out attacks in the country.

"This week we will commemorate the anniversary of the war and of Oct. 7. We are ready to increase our forces in anticipation of this day," due to fears of attacks, army spokesman Daniel Hagari told a television news briefing, without elaborating further.

The latest updates from South Lebanon and the Bekaa according to our correspondents:

- Residents of Houla (Marjayoun district) have appealed to the State and officials "to evacuate them from the village due to the intensity of strikes." The residents are shepherds with their families, reported our correspondent. 

-An Israeli airstrike targeted Maaroub, in the Sour district.

-An Israeli drone targeted Hosh al-Sayed, in the Hermel district.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu criticized French President Emmanuel Macron for calling for a halt to arms supplies to Israel.

He stated: "Israel fights the forces of barbarism ... Yet, President Macron and other Western leaders are now calling for arms embargoes against Israel. Shame on them." 

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed that the Israeli military had succeeded in destroying "a large part of the array of missiles and rockets that Hezbollah built over the years," said Netanyahu in a televised address, adding: "We have changed the course of the war and the balance of the war."

Hezbollah announced that it launched a salvo of missiles at a group of Israeli soldiers at Jal al-Deir, opposite the Lebanese village of Aitaroun (Bint Jbeil), at 8:30 p.m.

The Israeli strike that targeted a residential building in Jiyyeh killed at least two people and injured eight others, according to an initial report relayed by our correspondent. 

Here are the latest updates from South Lebanon, according to our correspondent:

- Violent clashes were reported in the Marjayoun district.

- Israeli artillery shelled Kfar Kila, (Marjayoun district). 

-Two Israeli air strikes targeted Yaroun and Shaqra (Bint Jbeil).

- An Israeli airstrike targeted Kfar Dounine (Bint Jbeil).

- Israeli aircraft also struck Deir Ntar (Bint Jbeil).

A residential building in the Nabi Younes neighborhood in Jiyyeh was the target of the Israeli strike on the area. This is the first time the area has been struck.

No prior evacuation notices were given.

Many people have been injured in the attack and ambulances were dispatched to the area, reported our correspondent. 

Israel will retaliate against Iran for Tuesday's missile attack at the right time, Israeli army spokesman Daniel Hagari said. He noted that the two air bases targeted in the attack "remain fully operational, with no aircraft damaged," reported Reuters. 

"The way in which we respond to this disgraceful attack will be in the manner, at the location and the timing which we decide, according to the political leadership's instructions," Hagari said in a broadcast statement.

The Islamic Health Committee's Civil Defense, affiliated with Hezbollah, denied that one of its centers had been targeted in Jiyyeh, read a statement from the organization.

The Israeli army has announced adjustments to its defense orders in several areas, including villages north of Tel Aviv, near the Gaza Strip, and parts of the occupied West Bank.

The new orders permit gatherings of up to 2,000 people, up from the previous limit of 1,000, according to an army statement. The level of activity in several communities in the central Galilee will also be reduced to "partial activity."

⚡ An Israeli strike targeted Jiyyeh, a village on the Chouf district's coast some 20 kilometers south of Beirut, reported the official National News Agency (NNA).

According to some local media, the strike targeted the Islamic Health Committee, affiliated to Hezbollah.

Ambulances and centers belonging to this association have been systematically targeted by Israeli aircraft in recent days, killing dozens of rescue workers.

⚡ "Reports are circulating, citing so-called 'sources within Hezbollah,' regarding the fate of Hezbollah officials after the recent savage attacks on the southern suburbs, including those reported by AFP. We want to reaffirm that there are no 'sources' within Hezbollah, and our official positions are communicated solely through press office statements," Hezbollah said in a statement.

This follows reports that Hezbollah Executive Council Chairman Hashem Safieddine has been "unreachable" since Friday's strikes, as a Lebanese security source told Reuters, and "a Hezbollah official speaking on condition of anonymity" told AFP.

The statement further denounced "other false information and rumors circulating about the party's leadership," claiming they contribute to the "psychological and moral war" waged against the resistance by those who "serve Zionist colonization."

⚡ The international conference in support of Lebanon will be held in October in France, President Emmanuel Macron was quoted by AFP as announcing at the Francophonie summit in the French capital. The 88 members of La Francophonie are calling for "an immediate and lasting cease-fire," he added.

Residents of the Burj al-Brajneh Palestinian refugee camp in Beirut's southern suburbs issued an urgent appeal today for help from UNRWA, the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees.

In a collective statement, camp residents emphasized their urgent need for critical relief services, medical care and financial support, which they say have largely disappeared. "Medical clinics have been closed, and most vital services that are essential for a decent life have stopped," the statement read.

Israeli President Isaac Herzog said today that Iran and its "proxies" pose an "ongoing threat" to Israel.

"In many senses, we are still living the aftermath of Oct. 7... It is in the ongoing threat to the Jewish State by Iran and its terror proxies, who are blinded by hatred and bent on the destruction of our one and only Jewish nation state," Herzog said in a statement to mark the first anniversary of the Hamas attack on Israel.

The civil ceremony scheduled for Monday in Israel to commemorate Oct. 7 will take place before a small audience of bereaved families and relatives of hostages held in Gaza, due to restrictions imposed by the Home Front Command on large gatherings, according to Haaretz.

A soldier from the Israeli army's 36th division has been "seriously wounded" in fighting in southern Lebanon, reports the Israeli army, quoted by Haaretz.

Latest updates on Israeli attacks in southern Lebanon, reported by our correspondent:

- Artillery fire shelled the area surrounding Shebaa in the Hasbaya district.

- Airstrikes targeted Naqoura, in the Sour district, and the Zefta valley in Nabatieh district.

- A drone fired at a cafe located on the seaside in Ghazieh (Saida), injuring three people and destroying the establishment. The cafe was closed due to violent Israeli bombardment, which had targeted the area incessantly since Sept. 23. Rescue workers from al-Rissala Scouts, affiliated with the Amal movement, assisted in transferring the injured to nearby hospitals.

The call attributed to Israel, which claimed that "weapons belonging to Hezbollah" were in the village, was made by two Syrian nationals residing in Bednayel, another town in the Baalbeck district, one of Taraya's mukhtars (a local official), Ali Ahmad Hamieh, informed our correspondent. Legal proceedings have been initiated against these two individuals.

During the call, the mukhtars were warned, "You have one day before Taraya is destroyed if the weapons are not removed from the village."

"We must continue to exert pressure on Hezbollah and deliver additional and continuous blows to the enemy without allowing it a period of breathing space," said Israeli army's chief of staff, Herzi Halevi, cited by Haaretz.

The Irish presidency has condemned an Israeli request to "relocate" part of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), which includes 347 Irish soldiers deployed along the border between Israel and Lebanon, calling it "outrageous."

Irish President Michael Higgins stated, "It is outrageous that the Israeli army has threatened this peacekeeping force and sought to make it evacuate the villages it defends. In fact, Israel is demanding that the entirety of UNIFIL, which operates under a U.N. mandate, leave."

He added, "This is not only an insult to the world's most important institution, to which 193 member states are committed, but also an insult to the soldiers and their families who have risked their lives so that we can all live in peace and protect the most vulnerable."

The Israeli army reported 12 members of Hamas and Islamic Jihad were killed in the strike on the Tulkarem refugee camp in the occupied West Bank on Thursday.

On Thursday, the Palestinian Health Ministry reported that 18 were killed in Israel's strikes on the camp. 

Shortly after the strike on the Tulkarem refugee camp, which Israel has occupied since 1967, the army initially reported a death toll of seven but later added five names in a statement today.

🔴 "Contact with Sayyed Safieddine has been lost since the violent strikes on Beirut's southern suburbs ... We don't know if he was at the targeted site, or who may have been there with him," on Thursday night, a Hezbollah official told AFP on the condition of anonymity. 

A second source close to Hezbollah also confirmed that communication had been cut off with Safieddine and that his whereabouts were unknown. Hezbollah "is trying to reach the underground headquarters that were targeted, but every single time Israel starts striking again to impede rescue efforts," he said. 

According to the second source, Safieddine "was with Hezbollah's head of intelligence," known as Hajj Murtada.

A source close to Hezbollah said Israel had conducted 11 consecutive strikes on Beirut's southern suburbs on Thursday night — one of the most violent nights the suburb has witnessed since Israel intensified its campaign of bombardment last week.

⚡ Friday's Israeli attacks across Lebanon killed 25 people and wounded 127 wounded, according to a Health Ministry toll.

Here are the latest updates on Israeli attacks in South Lebanon: 

- Heavy artillery fire continues to shell Kfar Kila, Deir Mimas and Khiam, in the Marjayoun district

The Israeli army's Arabic-speaking spokesman, Avichay Adraee, said on X that Israeli air force planes "recently carried out precise strikes on other headquarters and terrorist structures of Hezbollah's intelligence wing in the Beirut area," though he did not specify the exact locations.

He added that these attacks were a continuation of last night, during which aircraft "attacked weapons warehouses, command headquarters, and other terrorist structures."

The Israeli army claimed that approximately 25 rockets were launched from Lebanon toward Carmiel and its surrounding areas in northern Israel. Some rockets were intercepted, while others landed in open areas, according to Haaretz. Fires broke out in Carmiel.

Hezbollah announced that it launched a salvo of missiles on the Israeli barracks at Maale Golani at 4 p.m.

The Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, announced in a statement the "martyrdom" of Said Atallah, one of their commanders, killed today in an unprecedented Israeli strike on the Beddawi Palestinian refugee camp in northern Lebanon, Tripoli.

The Brigades also announced the death of Mohammad Hussein Lowaiss, a fighter killed in a strike in Saadnayel, in the eastern Bekaa region.

Nearly 60% of Gaza has been damaged or destroyed in one year of war, reported American news website Axios. 

"As of Sept. 25, Israeli military operations damaged or destroyed nearly 60% of buildings in Gaza, according to an analysis of satellite data conducted by Jamon Van Den Hoek of Oregon State University and Corey Scher of CUNY Graduate Center."

French President Emmanuel Macron today urged a halt to arms deliveries to Israel for use in the Gaza war. 

"I think that today, the priority is that we return to a political solution, that we stop delivering weapons to fight in Gaza," Macron told broadcaster France Inter, adding that France was not sending any arms to Israel. 

This comes as Israel has been criticized over the conduct of its war in Gaza.

Heavy Israeli artillery fire targeted Kfar Kila (Marjayoun), while Israeli machine guns targeted the village's neighborhoods.

The Israeli army and Shin Bet have announced that the air force killed two senior Hamas officials in Lebanon today.

According to Haaretz, Said Atallah was killed in northern Tripoli, with Hamas confirming his death alongside his family earlier today. Mohammad Hussein Ali al-Mahmoud, who was involved in weapons manufacturing and planning attacks in the West Bank for Hamas, was also killed in the strike.

This follows Israel's first bombing of the Beddawi Palestinian refugee camp, in Lebanon's North, a little after midnight. 

An Israeli strike targeted the area between Zawtar al-Sharqieh, Yohmor, and Deir Seriane (Nabatieh), near a school, according to our correspondent in South Lebanon.

Israeli settlers attacked a group of Palestinians harvesting olives near Tulkarem in the occupied West Bank, leaving five Palestinians and three settlers with minor injuries, according to a report by Haaretz.

Citing a security source, the Israeli newspaper said the settlers involved were from the nearby Avichai farm outpost. The source added that access to the Palestinian harvest area did not require coordination with Israeli authorities.

The Israeli army claims to have recovered a drone in the Agamon-Hula region of northern Israel.

Hezbollah claimed to have targeted the town of Safed in northern Israel with a rocket salvo at 2:20 p.m.

The latest strike hit Burj al-Barajneh, according to Al Jadeed, igniting a fire in the targeted area.

⚡The southern suburbs of Beirut were hit by a new Israeli strike, according to local media reports.

Three people sustained minor injuries when a rocket launched from Lebanon struck a building in Deir al-Asad in northern Israel, according to Haaretz. 

The police added that "there are additional reports of rocket hits in the area," stating that "Route 90 has been closed to traffic in the area surrounding Agamon-Hula due to a suspicious object being found."

Israel contacted the mukhtars of Taraya— Ali Hamieh, Ahmad Mohsen Hamieh and Yasser Mahdi Hamieh—and informed them that "weapons belonging to Hezbollah" were located in the village, according to our correspondent Sarah Abdallah.

"You have one day before Taraya is destroyed if the weapons are not removed from the village," the Israeli side warned. They also stated that they had contacted Mukhtar Hamoud Chehab Hamieh.

Hezbollah claimed to have shelled the town of Karmiel in northern Israel at 2:10 p.m.

Israeli fighter jets conducted an airstrike targeting a house in Zrarieh, Sour district, according to our correspondent.

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad stated on Saturday that Iran delivered a "lesson" to Israel by launching a missile attack on the country on Tuesday, according to a statement from his office.

The firing of approximately 200 missiles at Israel by Tehran was described as a "strong response" that provided a lesson to the "Zionist entity," Assad said during a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi, who was visiting Damascus.

Syrian air defenses are engaging hostile targets in the skies over Homs, Reuters reports.

China announced to AFP that it has evacuated 215 of its nationals from Lebanon.

"According to the latest report, a total of 215 Chinese citizens have been safely evacuated from Lebanon under the auspices of the Chinese government, in two groups," the Chinese Foreign Ministry stated in a communiqué sent to AFP. "The Chinese embassy in Lebanon continues to carry out its mission in the country and will continue to assist Chinese citizens on the ground in taking security measures," it emphasized.

The ministry did not specify where these Chinese nationals had been evacuated to and did not clarify whether the count included Taiwanese individuals, who are often considered citizens by Beijing in such reports.

More than 10 rockets were intercepted in northern Israel, Haaretz reported. One rocket is said to have struck Deir al-Assad in the Galilee region.

The Israeli army is "preparing a response" to the massive Iranian attack, which launched approximately 200 missiles into Israeli territory on Tuesday, an Israeli military official stated.

"The Israeli army is preparing a response to the illegal and unprecedented Iranian attack against Israeli civilians and Israel," the official, speaking on condition of anonymity, told AFP, without providing further details.

Here are the updates from southern Lebanon between 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.:

- Israeli airstrikes targeted the villages of Yaroun, Kfar Hamam, Aita al-Shaab, Maroun al-Ras, Aitaroun, Tayri, Beit Lif and Ramya.

Israeli sources have confirmed to Sky News the death of Hachem Safieddine, according to Haaretz.

The Israeli army stated that two rockets were likely launched from Lebanon during the recent barrage on Haifa, with one intercepted and the other hitting an open area, according to Haaretz. Meanwhile, the Israeli rescue service Magen David Adom reported that no casualties occurred following the sounding of alarm sirens in Haifa.

Hashem Safieddine, the president of Hezbollah's executive council, who was targeted in a massive Israeli airstrike on the southern suburbs of Beirut on the night of Thursday to Friday, is reported to be dead according to sources from Al Arabiya and Al Hadath. The latter also noted that newly appointed Hezbollah battalion commanders who had replaced their predecessors were killed in the strike, along with Iranian assistants.

The Israeli army today called for the evacuation of residents from part of central Gaza, stating that it is preparing to act "forcefully" against fighters from the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas in that area.

This evacuation notice is the first issued in weeks in Gaza, as the Israeli military has primarily focused on combating Hezbollah in Lebanon.

“Hamas and terrorist organizations continue their activities [...] in your area and, therefore, the Israeli army will act forcefully against these elements,” the evacuation order released by the army stated, accompanied by a map indicating the neighborhoods to evacuate.

Palestinians living in areas near the Netzarim corridor, which stretches several kilometers across the center of Gaza from east to west, have been instructed to leave the area, according to the notice published on social media platform X.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau urged his fellow citizens today to leave Lebanon "while they can," as the Israeli army has launched a ground operation against Hezbollah in the southern part of the country, AFP reports.

“We encourage all Canadians in Lebanon to take seats on those planes and leave Lebanon while they can,” Trudeau stated at a press conference in Paris, where he is participating in the Francophonie summit.

“There are still seats available on flights organized by Canada with commercial airlines,” he added while calling for the "protection of Lebanese civilian infrastructure," including the port and airport in Beirut.

Alarm sirens are sounding in Haifa and its surroundings, according to Haaretz.

Ismail Qaani, the commander of the Quds Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, was reportedly injured during the Israeli attack yesterday in the southern suburbs of Beirut, which targeted Hashem Safieddine, according to Israeli media.

Three security officials stated that Israeli airstrikes on Beirut’s southern suburbs are preventing rescue teams from searching the strike site where Hashem Safieddine, a potential successor to Hassan Nasrallah, was allegedly targeted, Reuters reports.

Hezbollah's Executive Council president, Hashem Safieddine, who was targeted in a massive Israeli airstrike on the southern suburbs from Thursday night into Friday, has been "unreachable" since the strikes, a Lebanese security source told Reuters.

Yesterday, Hezbollah informed our publication that it "does not yet have any information" on his whereabouts, as Safieddine is considered a potential successor to Hassan Nasrallah.

Iran's Oil Minister Bijan Namda Zanganeh stated he is "not worried about a crisis," despite reports of Israeli threats to strike Iran's oil facilities, according to Reuters.

A drone launched from Lebanon was shot down by Israeli air defenses over the community of Adamit in northern Israel, Israeli media reported, citing the Israeli army.

Hezbollah claimed an attack on the town of Sasa in northern Israel using two "Falaq 2" missiles.

The Iranian Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, visiting the Syrian capital Damascus, emphasized the need for a ceasefire in Lebanon and Gaza.

"The most important issue today is the ceasefire, particularly in Lebanon and Gaza," Araghchi stated to reporters upon his arrival in Damascus today after visiting Beirut, yesterday.

"There are initiatives, there are consultations, which we hope will be successful," he said, without providing further details. "Unfortunately, the hostilities and crimes of the Zionist regime [Israel] continue. This regime knows no other language but that of force and war," Araghchi added, urging "the international community to put an end to these crimes."

The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) stated it conducted "strikes on 15 Houthi targets in areas of Yemen controlled" by the group yesterday at 5 p.m. (Sanaa time). Centcom claims that "these targets included the Houthis' offensive military capabilities."

Yesterday, Al-Massirah television, affiliated with the rebels, reported that American strikes targeted three cities in Yemen controlled by the Houthis. The capital Sanaa and the city of Hodeida (west), where AFP correspondents heard explosions, as well as Dhamar (south of Sanaa), were among those targeted.

⚡A new Israeli strike targeted the southern suburbs of Beirut.

Local media reported that the area around Mreijeh was hit.

The number of Israeli airstrikes targeting southern Lebanon has significantly decreased but has not stopped, reports our correspondent Muntasser Abdallah.

Here’s the situation update between 10 a.m. and noon:

- Israeli airstrikes targeted the towns of Qalawiyeh (Bint Jbeil) and Aita al-Shaab (Bint Jbeil).

- Israeli drone strikes targeted Majdal Selm (Marjayoun).

Emirates Airlines has banned its passengers from carrying beepers and walkie-talkies following a wave of explosions in Lebanon in mid-September involving these small devices in an attack against Hezbollah attributed to Israel.

According to a statement from Emirates released on Friday, "all passengers traveling on flights to, from, or via Dubai [where the company is based] are prohibited from carrying beepers and walkie-talkies in their luggage or cabin."

Additionally, Emirates has extended the suspension of its flights to Iran and Iraq until Tuesday—effective since the Iranian missile attack on Israel last Tuesday—and to Lebanon until Oct. 15, as the Israeli army continues to bombard the country.

"More than 250 British nationals have left Lebanon on flights chartered by the British government," the British government stated, urging its nationals wishing to leave the country to "register immediately [with the embassy] or to take commercial flights."

An Israeli drone fired a missile targeting a motorcycle in the village of Arnoun, Nabatieh district, according to our correspondent in southern Lebanon.

''Israeli airstrikes targeting Hezbollah sites will intensify in the coming days and will continue until residents of northern Israel can return to their homes,'' the Israeli army stated, according to Haaretz.

The Israeli army claims that "about 400 Hezbollah fighters have been killed since the start of the ground operation in Lebanon this week."

At the same time, Israeli military forces in Gaza will also be reinforced in anticipation of an offensive, the troops indicate.

10 rockets were launched from southern Lebanon toward Safed and its surroundings, located about 12 kilometers from the Blue Line, causing fires, reports Haaretz, citing the Israeli army.

The Israeli Air Force claimed it attacked Hezbollah members overnight "who were operating in a headquarters established in a mosque near Salah Ghandour Hospital" in South Lebanon.

"This headquarters was used by terrorists to plan and carry out terrorist operations against Israeli military forces and Israel," it stated on X.

Mohammad Sleiman, director of the facility run by the Islamic Health Committee affiliated with Hezbollah, told AFP that seven medical staff members were injured by gunfire at the hospital, adding that the facility had been evacuated.

Hezbollah claimed to have shelled the Ramat David base, southeast of Haifa, with "Fadi-1" missiles at 10:30 a.m.

The base is located about 45 kilometers from the border with Lebanon.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi arrived in Damascus to discuss regional developments and bilateral relations with Syrian officials, according to the spokesperson for the Iranian foreign minister, as reported by Reuters.

Mr. Araghchi stated yesterday in Beirut that Iran supports “efforts for a ceasefire, provided that, first, the rights of the Lebanese people are respected and it is accepted by the resistance,” but that it must occur simultaneously with a ceasefire in Gaza.

A civilian, a member of the Lebanese Red Cross, was killed while passing through the al-Ain road in northern Bekaa. This locality was targeted in an airstrike last night.

Hezbollah announced that it targeted a Merkava tank at 7 a.m. as it advanced toward the heights of Bat, located across from the Lebanese village of Maroun al-Ras, using a guided missile, resulting in "deaths and injuries" among the soldiers.

The Health Ministry of Gaza announced a new death toll of 41,825 in the Palestinian territory since the start of the war with Israel nearly a year ago.

An Israeli strike early Friday hit near Lebanon's Masnaa border crossing with Syria, severing a route used by hundreds of thousands fleeing recent Israeli bombardments, Lebanese Transport Minister Ali Hamieh told Reuters.

He reported that the strike occurred just beyond the border post, still within Lebanese territory, creating a 4-meter-wide crater. On Thursday, Israeli army spokesman Avichay Adraee accused Hezbollah of smuggling weapons from Syria through the Masnaa crossing. Hamieh responded that all border crossings were under government surveillance. According to our correspondent, three strikes targeted the area around the border post, damaging two kilometers of the international road, which is now closed to traffic in both directions. The strikes caused only material damage and blocked the road thousands are using to cross to flee Israeli bombardment. 

The overnight Israeli strike targeting the village of Saadnayel in the Bekaa Valley resulted in one death, according to our correspondent.

The director of the "al-Abrar" school, Ali Hajj, was killed in an Israeli strike that targeted his home in the village of Rafid, Rashaya, according to our correspondent in the Bekaa, Sarah Abdallah.

The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), stationed along the border between Israel and Lebanon, announced today that it would "maintain its positions," despite a request from the Israeli army to "relocate some" of them. In a statement, UNIFIL indicated that the Israeli army had asked it on Sept. 30 to "withdraw peacekeepers from certain positions," informing it "of its intention to carry out limited ground incursions into Lebanon."

"However, peacekeepers will maintain their presence at all sites," it added.

The Israeli army reported that five rockets were fired from southern Lebanon towards northern Israel this morning. Some were intercepted, while others fell in open areas, the army specified, as reported by Haaretz.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi arrived in Damascus this morning to discuss regional developments and bilateral relations with Syrian officials, according to a spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry.

Yesterday, in Beirut, Abbas Araghchi stated that his country supports efforts for a simultaneous ceasefire with Israel, both in the Palestinian territory of Gaza and in Lebanon.

⚡️ Just before 8:30 a.m., the Israeli army carried out another strike against the southern suburbs of Beirut.

The situation was also very tense last night along the border, where Hezbollah announced in two statements that it had repelled Israeli attempts to infiltrate toward the village of Odaisseh.

According to the National News Agency (NNA), 12 bombings targeted the southern suburbs of Beirut overnight, striking buildings near al-Qaem Mosque in Burj al-Barajneh, near the Sayyed el-Chouhada complex in Haret Hreik, in Roueiss and further south in Choueifat, outside the suburbs.

The Israeli army also carried out strikes in the Bekaa district, specifically in Saadnayel and Rafid.

Four people, including two children, were killed in a targeted strike on an apartment in the Beddawi Palestinian refugee camp, according to information obtained from sources within the camp by our correspondent in nothern Lebanon, Michel Hallak.

Media outlets affiliated with Hamas report that the victims include Saeed Atallah, a leader of Hamas's armed wing, the al-Qassam Brigades, along with his wife and two children. The apartment, struck by an Israeli drone, was completely destroyed by fire.
