Previously spared by the year-long conflict between Israel and Hezbollah, the predominantly Christian areas of Kesrouan and Jbeil are now threatened by the Israeli airstrikes, which on Wednesday struck the Shiite villages of Ras Osta and Beshtelida, in the mountains of the Jbeil district, as well as Maaysra, in Kesrouan, more than 100 kilometers from the border.
