Hezbollah claimed early Wednesday morning to have fired a missile at the Tel Aviv area, shortly after warning sirens sounded in the Israeli metropolis.
In a statement, the party said it targeted "the Mossad headquarters in the Tel Aviv suburbs" with a Qader-1 ballistic missile. According to Hezbollah, the Israeli foreign intelligence services are "responsible for the assassination of party commanders" and "the explosions of pagers and walkie-talkies."

The Israeli army announced that it intercepted a missile coming from Lebanon. No damage or casualties were reported, according to Haaretz, and the military stated that there was no change in civil defense instructions.
On Sept. 17 and 18, thousands of Hezbollah’s trapped pagers and walkie-talkies exploded, killing dozens of party members and injuring thousands.
First time
At the end of August, Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah claimed that his fighters had launched a strike on a Mossad base in Glilot, in the Tel Aviv suburbs, a claim that was denied by the Israeli military at the time. This missile launch was presented as part of the party's response to the assassination of its military commander, Fouad Shukur, who was killed a month earlier in a targeted strike on the southern suburbs of Beirut.
“It is the very first time that a missile from Hezbollah has reached the Tel Aviv area. It was intercepted,” a military spokesperson told AFP on Wednesday.
Earlier, during the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, Hezbollah claimed a strike on the Ilaniya base, with “a salvo of Fadi-1 missiles.” This target is located east of Haifa, about 30 kilometers from the Blue Line.
Following Hezbollah's claim of its strike against Tel Aviv, the Israeli air force conducted a wave of raids in southern Lebanon, targeting Tefahta, Arzoun, Toulin, Majdal Selm, Arab Salim, Maroun al-Ras, Qlayleh, Habboush, Sawaneh, Nmeyrieh, Naqoura and Hawsh, spread across the districts of Saida, Sour, Nabatieh, and Bint Jbeil, along the Blue Line. Several strikes also targeted areas in the Bekaa Valley, including Mashghara, Douris, and the Lebbaya plain.
