MEA announces changes to 5 flights to Beirut between Monday and Tuesday

Lebanon's Middle East Airlines announced in a statement that "all its flights are maintained on Monday, July 29, and Tuesday, July 30, except five flights (out of 35)." These flights, which were scheduled to land in Beirut after midnight from Monday to Tuesday, have been postponed to Tuesday morning. The airline cited "technical reasons related to the allocation of insurance risk for aircraft between Lebanon and abroad."

In a statement released on Monday, MEA announced that "all its flights on Monday, July 29, and Tuesday, July 30, are maintained except for five flights (out of 35)." These flights, which were scheduled to land in Beirut after midnight from Monday to Tuesday, have been postponed to Tuesday morning. The airline cited "technical reasons related to the allocation of insurance risk for aircraft between Lebanon and abroad."

This announcement comes as the international community fears an Israeli retaliation against Hezbollah following a deadly strike in the occupied Golan on Saturday night. The attack, attributed by Israel to Hezbollah, killed twelve children and teenagers. The group has denied responsibility for the strike.

Details are as follows:

- Flight ME431 from Dubai to Beirut, originally scheduled to depart at 2:15 a.m. on Tuesday, will now depart at 6:10 a.m.

- Flight ME204 from London to Beirut, originally scheduled to depart at 10 p.m. on Monday, will now depart at 6:55 a.m. on Tuesday.

- Flight ME437 from Doha to Beirut, originally scheduled to depart at 7 p.m. on Monday, will now depart at 9:35 a.m. on Tuesday.

- Flight ME403 from Kuwait to Beirut, originally scheduled to depart at 9:15 p.m. on Monday, will now depart at 9:10 a.m. on Tuesday.

- Flight ME369 from Jeddah to Beirut, originally scheduled to depart at 9:15 p.m. on Monday, will now depart at 5:50 a.m. on Tuesday.

Times are in the respective local cities.

Passengers of the following two flights, which were previously canceled, have had their reservations transferred as follows:

- ME429 from Dubai to Beirut has been transferred to flight ME431 on July 30, with a departure time of 6:10 a.m.

- ME307 from Cairo to Beirut has been transferred to flight ME303 on July 30, with a departure time of 1:05 p.m.

Passengers exclusively booked on the aforementioned flights are allowed to change their reservation once, free of charge.
