"Escalation and pressure on the ground are the only way to force the Israelis to stop their aggression against Gaza," Sheikh Nabil Kaouk, a member of Hezbollah's central council, said on Monday. He stated that the support fronts for Gaza in Lebanon, Iraq, and Yemen form "a new trajectory, introducing new field equations" on the ground.

Kaouk spoke at a ceremony in Jabal al-Botm, southern Lebanon, in tribute to Hassan Ali Mehanna, a Hezbollah fighter killed in the ongoing clashes with Israel that began on Oct. 8, 2023.

In his speech, he repeatedly referred to the drone launched by the Houthis on July 19, which traveled nearly 2,000 kilometers before exploding over Tel Aviv without triggering warning sirens. He noted that the drone attack "undermined Israeli prestige," as it was not intercepted.

The drone strike on Tel Aviv resulted in one death and several injuries, leading to an unprecedented Israeli attack on the port of Hodeida in Yemen on Saturday, killing six people and injuring around 100. This incident is considered a major escalation in the region.

"The more they increase their aggressions, the more the Resistance will intensify its response and continue... until achieving the goal of stopping the aggression on Gaza," Kaouk said.

He asserted that Israeli threats have no effect because they come from what he described as a "frightened, defeated and crisis-ridden...Israeli entity."

"The Israelis now know that the resistance's missiles and drones can reach them anywhere," he concluded, accusing Israel of "setting the region on the path to escalation."
