BEIRUT — The Litani River Authority (LRA) demolished tents that belong to Syrian migrants in the Southern Lebanese village of Sarafand on Thursday, L'Orient Today's correspondent reported, citing a statement of the authority.

LRA is a public establishment that manages water resources along the Litani River and in the Lebanese territory in general.

The tents, which were installed within the authority's property, were demolished after the owners refused to remove them, according to LRA.

LRA often criticizes violations of its property and has previously removed many encroachments that were installed by Syrian migrants and Lebanese citizens, mostly evoking anti-pollution measures.
