Iran media say death toll rises to 13 in Syria consulate strike

The death toll from an air strike on the Iranian consulate in Damascus has risen to 13, including seven Revolutionary Guards, Iranian state media said Tuesday, blaming arch-foe Israel.

"In the [Monday] attack carried out by the Zionist regime on the consular annex of Iran's embassy in the Syrian capital, seven Iranians and six Syrian citizens have been killed," state television said.
