A paralyzed man in his 70s was killed by two burglars in his home in the Sioufi area of Achrafieh on Monday, a security source confirmed to L'Orient-Le Jour. The victim's wife was injured and taken to hospital.
According to the source, the couple had recently hired a Syrian domestic worker, who allegedly facilitated the entry of the attackers and are believed to be Syrian as well.
The victim succumbed to his injuries, having been beaten by the burglars. No arrests have yet been announced, but the Internal Security Forces (ISF) are following the case, assured the source.
