BEIRUT — One person has been killed and two others injured in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a house in the southern Lebanese border village of Khiam, Marjayoun district, Wednesday afternoon. The incident was confirmed to L'Orient Today by a medical source and the mayor of the village.
The head of the municipality, Adnan Alyan, said that the person killed, Mohamad Awada, went back with two of his friends to get something from his building, which had been struck once already that afternoon. "Civilians should be careful not to go back to houses that were struck before," he added.
The Israeli army struck several other houses in Khiam following the afternoon's fatal strike, residents of the village told L'Orient Today. However, it was not immediately clear if there were injuries.
