BEIRUT — State security arrested a Syrian person for "insulting Lebanese citizens" who were in the vicinity of an area that was targeted by an Israeli air strike on Tuesday between the towns of Jibsheet and Choukine (Nabatieh), state-run National News Agency reported on Wednesday.
According to NNA, Syrian national "A. K (37 years old)" was arrested "based on the request of the competent judiciary."
The same source added that while filming, A. K started saying "insulting" words at Lebanese citizens who were crossing in a place near the raid.
The incident sparked an atmosphere of resentment and denunciation in the region and on social media, NNA reported.
