BEIRUT — Seven vehicles were involved in a crash on Wednesday morning on the Emile Lahoud highway on the outskirts of Beirut, the Traffic Management Center (TMC) Lebanon announced via its Twitter account. It added that no injuries were recorded as a result of the collision.
According to TMC Lebanon, a traffic police officer is working on "handling" the situation.
Traffic incidents are the No. 1 cause of unintentional injury and death in the country, according to a recent study published by L'Orient Today that revealed a downward trend in the overall number of crashes and deaths over the last five years, but with crashes becoming more deadly.
