BEIRUT — Civil Defense firefighters from Jounieh put out a large fire that broke out Wednesday night at the Saqr gas station in Sahel Alma, Kesrouan, the National News Agency reported Thursday.

The cause of the fire was not immediately clear, and authorities did not note whether any gas tanks had ignited.

A domestic gas tank exploded at a station in the al-Qubba neighborhood of Tripoli last November, causing a number of injuries.

And earlier, on Aug. 15, 2021, a gasoline tank also exploded in the Tleil village in Akkar governorate, killing more than 30 people and injuring about 100.
