BEIRUT — A man was arrested in Taanayel in the Bekaa Valley by the Internal Security Forces for allegedly detaining his son and tying him to an iron chain in his house, the ISF said in a statement Tuesday.
After receiving information about the crime in December, police in the area reportedly raided the home, arresting the father and freeing the son, who had been chained in a bedroom.
The teenager, aged 19, is Syrian. His father, 53, was arrested by security forces and later confessed to chaining his son due to apparent family disputes, the statement said.
