This is story is totally fictitious. It takes the reader to Beirut in 2050, as one might imagine it if the current course of climate change is not altered. The story is based on scientific projections for the Lebanese capital, as well as other Mediterranean coastal cities.This speculative piece was possible thanks to the invaluable contribution of two climate specialists. Wajdi Najem, professor emeritus at Saint Joseph University, has been studying Lebanon’s climate for 40 years.
