BEIRUT — Brigadier General Khalil Ali Jaber was appointed on Tuesday as president of the Military Court in charge of criminal cases, by a decision from the caretaker Minister of Defense Maurice Slim, the state-owned National News Agency reported.

The decision was taken on the basis of a proposal by the Military Council, NNA added. General Jaber succeeds Brigadier General Ali Hajj, who had retired.
