Interruptions in internet and telephone services due to breakdown, Ogero says

BEIRUT — State telecommunications provider Ogero, announced on Thursday an interruption of its telephone and internet services due to a breakdown in the Ras al-Nabeh area in Beirut.

Here’s what we know:

    • Technical teams are trying to repair the breakdown as quickly as possible, Ogero tweeted, although it is unclear when this issue will be solved.

    • This is not the first time Ogero experiences outages, with another case of interruptions reported in March of this year.

    • These outages come as Lebanon’s telecommunications companies struggle to maintain viable services in the face of an economic crisis in which fuel and operational costs have risen dramatically but service prices have remained largely unchanged.
