BEIRUT — A total of 103 electoral lists were registered at the Interior Ministry by Monday night’s deadline, Interior Minister Bassam Mawlawi announced.

Here’s what we know:

    • Six lists were formed in Beirut I (East Beirut), 10 in Beirut II (West Beirut), eight in Bekaa I (Zahle), six in Bekaa II (West Bekaa-Rachaya), six in Bekaa III (Baalbek-Hermel), seven in Mount Lebanon I (Jbeil-Kesrouan), six in Mount Lebanon II (Metn), seven in Mount Lebanon III (Baabda), seven in Mount Lebanon IV (Aley-Chouf), eight in North I (Akkar), 11 in North II (Tripoli-Minnieh-Dennieh), seven in North III (Bsharri-Zghorta-Batroun-Koura), seven in South I (Saida-Jezzine), four in South II (Sour-Zahrani) and three in South III (Marjayoun-Nabatieh-Hasbaya-Bint Jbeil).

    • The Interior Ministry made clear Monday night that now that the deadline has passed no new list will be accepted and no registered list can be modified. Twenty-six more electoral lists have been registered for the May 15 polls than were registered for the last parliamentary elections in 2018. In 2018, 77 lists were registered.

CORRECTION: An earlier version of this article incorrectly said that the 103 registered electoral lists featured 1,044 candidates. This is in fact the total number of candidates who registered to contest the elections; the number of candidates who made it onto lists has not yet been confirmed.
