BEIRUT — Kuwait’s public prosecutor's office announced Monday it would release three people who had been arrested in connection with financing Hezbollah, the Kuwaiti daily Al-Qabas reported, citing an informed source.

Here's what we know:

•  According to the source, 5,000 dinars (more than US$16,500 dollars) bail per person was paid, but these individuals are prohibited from leaving Kuwait. The source also indicated that eight other people are still detained in connection with the case. Suspects include Kuwaiti nationals and foreigners.

•  In mid-November, Kuwait’s General Prosecutor's Office remanded eighteen people into custody on suspicions of financing Hezbollah in Lebanon.
