A Saudi-led coalition said Thursday that it had intercepted six ballistic missiles fired from neighboring Yemen by the Iran-aligned Houthis, after alerts were issued in several regions of the kingdom.

“Air defenses thwarted an attack targeting Taif and Yanbu,” coalition spokesman Turki al-Maliki said on X. “Escalations and violations by the Houthi terrorist militia will face a firm response,” he warned.
