The Air France-KLM group, which includes the French airline and its low-cost subsidiary Transavia — two carriers in high demand among the large Lebanese diaspora in France — plans to resume flights between Paris and Beirut this week, a group source told L'Orient-Le Jour. Transavia is set to resume flights on Friday, followed by Air France on Saturday, according to the source.
The group's service between Paris and Beirut has faced several interruptions over the past few years. Flights were suspended in July 2024 due to escalating military action in the Middle East, then resumed before being suspended again.
The latest suspension, which was extended several times, began on Feb. 28, 2026, after the start of U.S.-Israeli strikes against Iran, which led to airspace closures across the region and major disruptions to air traffic.
