The price of Brent North Sea crude, the main international benchmark, sunk back under $100 per barrel Monday on hopes that diplomatic progess can be made on ending the U.S.-Iran war.
Brent tumbled 4.0 percent to $99.69, while the main U.S. contract, West Texas Intermediate, slumped 5.0 percent to $95.22 per barrel.
