Fighting in southern Yemen between Saudi-backed government forces and Iranian-aligned Houthi fighters has left 48 people dead in the past 24 hours, military sources from both sides told AFP on Saturday.
According to government military sources, 17 soldiers were killed, while the Houthis reported that 31 of their fighters died.
