The United States and Israel are planning a campaign of strikes targeting Iran’s energy infrastructure that could take place over the weekend, CBS News reported Friday, citing sources familiar with the matter.
However, U.S. President Donald Trump has not yet given final approval for the strikes, the sources said.
The campaign would be among the most significant offensives against Iranian energy infrastructure since the conflict involving the United States, Israel and Iran escalated, CBS News said. Discussions are underway to complete the strikes before financial markets open on Monday.
