BEIRUT — General Security said in a statement on Friday that after receiving information from the Syrian Embassy in Beirut regarding the detention of a family in Nabaa (Metn district) due to financial disputes, it carried out a raid on the site and rescued the detained family members.
"After identifying their location, a force from the General Directorate of General Security carried out a raid on the site. The operation resulted in the rescue of the detained family from inside a building in the Nabaa area, ensuring the safety of its members, who consist of a woman and five children," reads the statement.
It added that it begun its investigations under the supervision of the competent judiciary to identify those involved and work on arresting them.
So far, no further details are available about the incident.
