It is not only in Lebanon that the announcement of a "deconfliction cell" on the Lebanese front has caused confusion. This cell, announced Sunday, includes Iran alongside the United States, Qatar, Pakistan and Lebanon itself, and appears to be at the heart of a growing disagreement between U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Vice President JD Vance.
