BEIRUT — A United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) damage assessment of Beirut and Mount Lebanon, published on Monday, found that Israeli attacks had destroyed 146 buildings and partially damaged 264 others between Feb. 1 and April 14, 2026, with losses estimated at $365 million.The UNDP carried out the assessment using remote sensing technology supported by geospatial artificial intelligence while Israeli attacks on the area were ongoing. The findings were cross-checked with data from the Lebanese Army and the United Nations Department of Safety and Security, and were verified on the ground with the National Council for Scientific Research (CNRS).
