BEIRUT — The Gaza Health Ministry said in its latest report that Israeli drone strikes have killed three Palestinians and wounded 35 others in the past 24 hours in the Gaza Strip.

Since the Oct. 11, 2025 “cease-fire” the ministry has reported 936 killed, 2,903 wounded and 781 bodies recovered from under rubble, the statement added. This brings the total number of Palestinians killed by Israel since the start of its genocidal war on the Gaza Strip — which started after the Oct. 7, 2023 Hamas attack on southern Israel — to at least 72,945 killed and 173,011 wounded.

An Israeli drone strike on Tuesday targeted a car traveling in Deir al-Balah, in central Gaza, killing at least one person and wounding several others.

These daily attacks on the besieged Palestinian enclave come after the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's order to the army to take control of 70 % of the Gaza Strip, a move Hamas described as violating the cease-fire agreement and the 20-point plan put forward by U.S. President Donald Trump.

This new attempt by Israel to expand its occupation of the Gaza Strip has led to the resumption of talks between Hamas and mediators, scheduled this week in Egypt.

The Palestinian movement said a delegation of leaders, led by Mohammad Darwish, met with Turkish intelligence chief Ibrahim Kalin and reaffirmed its commitment to the cease-fire agreement.

According to the statement, discussions focused on “the escalation of Israeli aggression” in the Gaza Strip and on Israel’s failure to respect its previous commitments.
