BEIRUT — The Lebanese Army announced Saturday that an Israeli drone strike targeted the vehicle carrying two of its soldiers, who were seriously injured, in the village of Ebba near Nabatieh in southern Lebanon, a day after a meeting in Washington between military delegations of both countries.
"Two soldiers were seriously injured after being targeted aboard a vehicle by a hostile Israeli drone," the army said in a statement.
The day before, another Lebanese soldier, Alaa Madlaj, had been killed in similar circumstances by an Israeli drone while driving in the Nabatieh area.
