BEIRUT — Hezbollah MP Hassan Fadlallah said Friday that "Iran has not accepted any agreement that does not include Lebanon," as Washington and Tehran are engaged in talks to reach a deal to end the war in the Middle East. He added that "coordination is ongoing" with Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri.

"There is Iranian insistence on stopping the aggression against Lebanon," the MP said, noting that "Iran has not accepted any agreement that does not include Lebanon." "That is why the enemy is trying to get ahead of this by intensifying its attacks and is taking advantage of the position of those in power in Beirut and their insistence on continuing the negotiations," he said. The MP also asserted that "coordination is ongoing with Berri to face these dangers." "We are both working to stop the aggression, and we have a common vision regarding direct negotiations, each expressing it in his own way. Any decision regarding how to approach solutions will be joint and there will be no disagreement," he continued.

Fadlallah also emphasized that "the resistance is not a regular army that establishes lines of defense to prevent a heavily equipped army with the most modern weapons, which presents itself as the top army in the region, from entering and occupying certain villages. The mission of the resistance is to prevent it from settling there and to wear it down through operations."

Lebanon and Israel have begun direct negotiations, with the Lebanese side aiming to secure the withdrawal of the Israeli army, which is conditioned by Israel on the effective disarmament of Hezbollah. A new round of negotiations is scheduled for Friday between the Lebanese and Israeli delegations in Washington, focusing on the security and military aspects. Washington and Israel are seeking to jointly implement a Hezbollah disarmament plan in cooperation with the Lebanese Army, as previously noted.
